Growth and Quality of Strawberry (Fragaria ananassa Dutch. cvs. ‘Kuemsil’) Affected by Nutrient Solution Supplying Control System Using Drainage Rate in Hydroponic Systems

چکیده

Although hydroponic techniques enable intensive and effective crop management, controlling the watering for each type growth stage is challenging using commonly used timed system. Therefore, excessive insufficient occurs frequently. Hydroponic technology that considers drainage rate can minimize amount of drainage, thereby reducing environmental pollution fertilizer consumption. This study compared methods in a strawberry system determined optimal rate. As increased, water supplied increased. A significantly negative correlation was found between total nitrogen content. Drainage electrical conductivity (EC) level highest 10% group. In 20% treatment, leaf length width increased to four applications timer-supplying method. The yield fruits weighing more than 27 g treatment. treatment most appropriate. We propose it possible reduce unnecessary consumption increase productivity by supply precise management strawberries.

Strawberry (Fragaria ·ananassa Duch.) Growth and Productivity as Affected by Temperature

Thermotolerance of photosynthesis and productivity in Chandler and Sweet Charlie strawberry plants (Fragaria ·ananassa Duch.) exposed to three temperature regimes was studied. Net CO2 assimilation rate (A), variable chlorophyll fluorescence (Fv), efficiency of photosystem II (Fv/Fm), relative chlorophyll content, plant growth, and fruit yield and quality weremeasured. High temperature (40 C day...

THE EFFECT OF INCREASED CHLORIDE (Cl) CONTENT IN NUTRIENT SOLUTION ON YIELD AND QUALITY OF STRAWBERRY (Fragaria ananassa Duch.) FRUITS

Chloride and sodium are the main ions contributing to soil salinity in many regions but chloride is an essential element necessary for plant growth and development. It also controls the growth of some pathogens in plants. In this experiment, the effect of the chloride ion in nutrient solution on yield and fruit quality of two strawberry cultivars: ‘Selva’ and ‘Camarosa’ grown in hydroponic cult...

Transgene transmission frequencies between cultivated strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa Dutch) and other Fragaria species

The transmission of transgenes (uid-A and nptII) was studied in crosses between transgenic plants, with Fragaria x ananassa cultivar Teodora as the donor plant and various Fragaria species as recipient plants. GUS expression and kanamycin resistance were evaluated in embryos and in seedlings after aseptical germination, both in intraand inter-specific crosses as demonstrated by different ploidy...

Varietal Improvement of Strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa Dutch.) Through Somaclonal Variation Using In Vitro Techniques

Strawberry is a valuable, nutritious, and economically important fruit all over the world including Bangladesh. Therefore, there is a demand to develop a suitable variety of strawberry. For this purpose, leaf explants from in vitro grown strawberry plantlets were cultured onto MS medium supplemented with different concentrations and combinations of 2,4-D, NAA and BA for callus induction. The mo...

Strawberry (Fragaria X ananassa Duch.) yield as affected by the soil pH.

Two-year trials (20062007) suggested that the use of calcium oxide (CaO) on acid soils increased soil pH and yields in strawberry cultivars Marmolada, Selena and Senga Sengana, under the environmental conditions of Cacak (Western Serbia). The highest yield was obtained when CaO was applied at 750 kg ha-1 rate. Further increase in rate up to 1,500 kg ha-1 did not show corresponding increase in y...
